Exploring Friction

We were introduced to the contact force of friction this afternoon. We completed an investigation by measuring how far toy cars could travel when being pushed or pulled. Then we repeated the same contact forces by using a towel to create some friction. Check out the comments to see what we learned!

Outdoor Education Adventure to Wellman Lake

Both Grade 3 classes braved the weather for an exciting outdoor educational adventure at Wellman Lake. We spent the day participating in snowshoeing excursions, painting nature scenes, and working together to build a huge fort. It was exciting to watch it grow during the day, so that by the end of the day all of us could fit inside and it was as tall as Mrs. Vestby! Thanks to the volunteers who helped make the day and memorable one!
