Thankful Turkeys
We are so thankful! We've had a wonderful week filled with gratitude for so many things and people in our lives. We celebrated "Do Something Nice" day on Wednesday (5th). We enjoyed it so much, it's continuing on.... our class is a great place to be!
We ended the week with a delicious school-wide turkey with all the trimmings lunch last Friday. The entire student body gathered in the gym and enjoyed a tasty meal!

Terry Fox
We talked a lot about Terry Fox last week. We watched some news highlights as he began his Marathon of Hope and even listened to some archived interviews. What an amazing person! Here are some pictures of us on our school-wide Terry Fox walk.
We also were fortunate to have a visit from Mrs. Reid-Thorpe. She told a story of working in Ontario during the time that Terry Fox was running in that province. She shared a memory of a morning driving down the highway and seeing police cars with their lights on. She drove on carefully and actually passed by Terry as he was running this stretch of highway. It was pretty amazing to hear from someone who had witnessed his courageous journey. She also generously shared an autographed Marathon of Hope poster that Terry had signed for her brother. It was a neat addition to our day.

We learned a lot about Terry Fox and we wrote some poems to share what we learned about this Canadian hero. Click on the link to student blogs to read them!
